I've never saw that Scott was looking for a male authority figure. The narcissists, yes. I called that out early on when I came into Fandom. The male authority figure is new. It's really something to think about/I need to go looking for that too. Cause I dont doubt you, i might have overlooked it. But it makes sense based on what I think about him and the show. Anyhow what I actually wanted to ask was: why do you think he never took Derek as authority figure? in the first episode its Derek who saves him from the hunters and also tells him they are brothers now. Is it because Derek put himself in the same level as Scott? Any thoughts? Sorry for my rambling, I'm very tired and it's difficult to focus on any clear thoughts right now xD
Derek wasn't really trying to be an authority figure to Scott; in my opinion, from what I can tell through the character and through Tyler's acting choices, he came across as a worried older sibling, more than anything else.
Scott looks at Derek and all he sees is some guy who's just a few years older than them, who's acting shady and delinquent, and just happens to be a werewolf just like Scott. He sees Derek as someone who's not using his abilities to his advantage, but Derek (up until that particular point in the show) has never seen being a werewolf as an advantage, he has only ever seen it as a curse because it's what got Paige and his family killed.
Stiles changes his tune very quickly once he realizes what happened to Derek's family, but all Scott can see is someone who is trying to ruin the good time that he's having with his abilities.
You have to remember, in the beginning, once Scott was turned, he was using his abilities as an advantage to gain popularity, and to make himself feel better. From what we can tell, Derek doesn't really know what he's doing with Scott, because it seems he's never dealt with a werewolf that's been turned before. From what we know from the canon, all of the werewolves in Derek's family were born werewolves, and none of them were turned, so this leaves Derek at a big disadvantage when it comes to figuring out what his relationship with Scott is, because the only way he knows werewolf relationships is through family relationships.
This is why Derek was struggling, and this is why Scott couldn't take him seriously, and why their whole relationship is rocky and off balance.
Derek is trying to take on a brotherly role, because it's the only thing that he knows, but Scott is an only child, and so he doesn't see Derek as a brother, he sees him as a hindrance and someone who is telling him what he can and cannot do. He doesn't care that Derek has the same abilities that he does, because he sees Derek in a completely different way than Derek really is.
I realize I've been talking more about Derek than about Scott, but there were a lot of dropped plot lines in the show and the fact that they created such an immensely complex character in Derek Hale and had an incredibly gifted actor portraying him and then dropped him like a hot tamale for no real reason is something that I will never get over.
Derek's trauma affects how he views himself, and how he views his relationships with others, which is why he feels so reluctant through those first few seasons.
The writers really messed up when they showed Derek finally coming to terms with himself while simultaneously paralleling Scott's storyline of practically devolving, while the writers are trying to say that Scott is the better Alpha.
Which he obviously wasn't.
One of the scenes that I hate the most in the entire show is when Derek looks at Scott and says to him, "You're going to be good at this."
Anyone around Scott over the past few years, since he was turned, would know that Scott was the last one who was ever going to be a good Alpha. I could really go on and on about how odd their relationship is, but it really comes down to two things:
1) Derek's struggle with self-acceptance as a werewolf and 2) Scott's inability to listen or pay attention to anyone other than himself

Some words for this book I just finished
called The Near Witch by V. E. Schwab
Alright. Same as last time, I'm going to give my star rating here and move onto the body of my spiel, which will contain spoilers.
This book didn't wow me. It was good, but it wasn't spectacular. So I give it a 3 star rating. I was almost going to give it a 2, but i thought that would be mean. It wasn't that bad.
I don't think there's much for me to say about this one. I went into it with bigger expectations than it deserved. I guess it's the first book Schwab published, at least that's my understanding, her first true novel, so I suppose I should give it a little slack.
I was not sitting at the edge of my seat. For the majority of the book, I was waiting. For... something. Otto and the other men were annoying. Tyler's behavior was disgusting. It felt like I was reading the same scene again and again, just Lexi almost solving the witch issue, then being stopped by the men, harassed, and sneaking off. Her going to Cole, having a little tortured love session, then trying to figure shit out again, and retreating at the last minute. This cycle repeated about five times or something, and I'm telling you that was the bulk of the plot.
The romance between Lexi and Cole seemed pretty baseless to me. It was not there, and then suddenly it was. Before it became apparent, what was brought to the reader's attention was that there was this tense thing going on between Lexi and Tyler. He wanted to get with her, but she kept brushing him off. It was a dynamic that kind of grossed me out. And it tricked me. I thought that Lexi had no interest in relationships. But then she was letting Cole suck her face with barely any introduction. It was just weird. So awkward.
The Near witch herself was confusing. I didn't know whether I should feel sorry for her, afraid of her, or angry at her, or nothing for her. Was she just an echo. In the end, she was dealt with so easily. Sure, there's a little struggle between Lexi and the Witch on the hill, but then Cole shows up and just sweeps her into the stone tomb with his wind. That's it. Three lines and everything is solved.
I also find it perplexing how the guys in the forest didn't just gun Cole down when they saw him with the missing children. They didn't mind hunting him and attempting to execute him the whole book, with no evidence of his crimes (you know, because he hadn't committed any in their village), but there at the end with much more evidence than they'd had that whole time, him standing right over the kids, redhanded practically, they just shrug and let him off the hook. Yeah, let's lug these kids out of the burning forest. You're a hero, guy we wanted to kill just hours ago.
All in all, it was a very frustrating read. The romance bordered on cheap. It probably shouldn't have even been there, not to the extent that it was. Kind of felt like a fanfic. The characters' behavior was almost insufferably dense. It was tough.
What kept me going though was the concept itself, the power of nature, connections to nature, community, finding trust in things that once inspired fear, learning the truth. And these witches were actually special, born with innate power and skill. I liked Lexi's relationship with her father, even though he was dead and her interactions with him were through memory the whole time. Still, it was an aspect of the story that I really relished. The writing was more than decent as well. The style vibed with me right.
So yeah. The book is one I will probably not read again, but I don't really regret reading it this once. It was what it was.
After getting all my thoughts out like that, though, I'm really wondering if it doesn't deserve 2 stars. XD Eh. I'll let it have 3. Stick to my word. ;)

Hi! I love the way you write! I was wondering if you could make a headcanons of the 10 Sweet Elite characters, on jealousy! But not towards a boy / girl but towards a tender kitten who is our great love, an affectionate cat and who will always find the way to receive all the attention, but not by making spite, but in a more subtle way, with purr, meows and ball eyes! Of course, only us and the others are not even considered XD A kiss!
Awww thank you so much!! 💘💘 It means a lot to me that people like what I write even though it's just silly stuff. Anyway... making the main 10 jealous of a cat? 😂 Alright! I guess I can do that much 👌 (Sorry if this isn't exactly what you had in mind but I made the cat a stray in the hcs.)
Alistair
- honestly he is a dog person but he's not the type to argue which are cuter: dogs or cats?
- but when you met that kitten in the street and your voice suddenly shifted to "baby talk" mode?
- at first he doesn't think much of it but later on, for some reason he starts feeling a bit irritated
- wants to show you his puppies from back home but he knows just how childish his reasoning is
- ends up not only feeling jealous but also pathetic
- starts talking to himself
- "Come on Alistair, why are you feeling jealous of a CAT of all things?? That's so stupid..."
- You notice him figeting on the side looking like a sad doggo
- out of pure impulse, you run your fingers through his hair
- he doesn't really get what's happening but he's happy that your attention shifted back to him
- if he really was a dog, his tail would be wagging right now
- "Y/N? W-what are you doing? Not that I don't like it! But uh..."
- "Sorry, you just looked really cute for a sec haha... Well, I mean you always do but um."
- the both of you get embarrassed and move on from this silly situation
Axel
- a dog person as well but he didn't expect to feel so frustrated over... a cat
- in a matter of seconds, he felt like he had disappeared and he didn't like that
- for once that the both of you were alone he didn't want anyone to get in their way
- feels like he's being an idiot
- you continue petting the cat and when you scratch him under its neck, the little kitten starts purring
- suddenly Axel bends over and points to the space under his chin
- "Scratch me here."
- you're so taken aback by what he said that you actually do it... and he starts purring too??
- it sounds pretty identical to how cats purr
- "See? I can do it just as well as this little guy over there..."
- Axel looks down in shame knowing just how ridiculous he must sound right now
- you kiss him on the cheek to cheer him up
- "Come on, you know that you're my favorite!... and honestly, that purring was surprisingly good."
- "Uh-huh, I should try voice acting for cats or something."
Claire
- starts off gushing over the kitten with you
- but quickly realizes that she became almost invisible to you
- all your affection is now aimed at the cute kitty which makes Claire feel a bit abandoned
- she feels horrible for being envious of a cat, especially since she's also the type of person who loses herself in front of cute animals
- "No sad thoughts allowed! Stop thinking about ridiculous things Claire..."
- tries to cheer herself up
- somehow gathers the courage to snuggle her head against your shoulder
- you ask her what she's doing
- "Oh uh! Y-you know... I'm just imitating the kitten! Isn't it just so adorable when they press their little heads against your legs when they pass by?! S-so cute, right? Haha..."
- has realized how stupid she was being and is sad all over again until you do the same thing as her
- her cheeks heat up and she's super embarrassed
- "I-it would be nice if we were allowed to have pets in the dorms, we could've taken the cat with us..."
- "Adopt it? So we can play parents? What should we name it..."
- "W-wait! We can't actually take it with us! Lady A will be so mad..."
Ellie
- is thrilled to find a cute cat in the street!... until you start playing with it that is
- becomes silent and watches how you're smiling like a dumb-dumb
- finds you cuter than the cat and is a bit sad that she has become a second thought to you
- in an attempt to catch your attention (or more precisely get it back) she bends over and tries to imitate the cat's meowing
- at the same time, she moves her arms as if she has paws instead of human hands
- you try to ask her what she's doing but she only answers in meows
- "Meow meow meow 😥😤 Meoowwww 😖"
- you give up and start talking in "cat language" as well
- "Uhhhh... Meow?"
- at the end of it all the both of you laugh about it and make a plan to somehow find a home for the kitty
Karolina
- tries really hard to act like she doesn't give a damn
- but she's extremely annoyed
- "Oh so a cat is more important than spending time with me, huh?"
- is petty af
- keeps on sighing loudly and has had her arms crossed for a solid minute now
- sees that you're not even noticing how annoyed she is
- starts walking away and makes sure to make each one of her steps really loud so you can hear her
- when you try to stop her she's all like "Oh no it's fine. You can go on ahead and have a cup of tea with this... cat, and while you're at it kiss it under the moonlight why don't you?"
- is red of both anger and embarrassement because she knows just how childish she sounds and she hates it
- like a kid throwing a tantrum
- in the end you convince her to pet the cat as well and she gets charmed quite quickly and forgives you
- even gives it a name and refuses to give the cat to anybody else
Neha
- stares at you with a neutral expression ...or so it seems
- that is the face of BETRAYAL
- she's thinking "Seriously? You're ditching me for a cat?"
- starts asking you questions to see if she can distract you
- "So... you like cats too? I had the impression that you were more of a dog person but I guess I was wrong..."
- tries really hard not to sound passive-agressive
- fails at it.
- "Neha um. Are you like... jealous? Haha! No way, right? Sorry it was a dumb ques-"
- when you see the blush on her face you immediately understand what's going on
- you let go of the kitten and hug her
- "Want me to scratch your head too? Haha..."
- "Oh shut up! Don't make me feel more ridiculous than I already am..."
Raquel
- is super thrilled at first
- "Let's adopt it! I'm sure we can hide it in your room since you don't have a roommate."
- quickly changes her mind on the way back when she sees all the attention you're giving to the kitten
- knows exactly why she feels that way so she tries her best to play it cool, knowing how idiotic it is to be envious of a cat
- "So uh. Y'know, I know I'm the one who said that we should take it with us but now thinking about it, it's honestly kinda dangerous, isn't? I mean I don't want you to get in trouble because of me and all..."
- is rambling and rambling, telling you all the reasons why maybe it is actually a bad idea to "adopt" the cat
- you take the hint pretty easily and agree with her
- but in the end you guys manage to shelter the kitty in your room during a week before finding someone in town who'll take care of it
Tadashi
- loves cats but plays dumb when you first find the kitten in the street
- "Cats? Uh. Yeah. They're cute I guess..."
- really wants to pet the cat after he sees you doing it
- you have to push him a little bit
- "All right! If you insist so much then I guess I'll pet it..."
- (side note: you didn't insist at all 😂)
- has a small smile on his face, he's trying to conceal his happiness even though he really doesn't have to
- after a while though, he starts feeling frustrated when he sees that you get along with the kitten better than he does
- but at first, he thinks that he's jealous of you, not the cat
- however it's the other way around
- he tries to catch the cat's attention to get it away from you
- He's shyly making cat sounds
- "N-nyaaa..."
- "What are you doing?"
- "Uh... that's the onomatopoeia for the sounds cats make in Japanese..."
- "Haha! So you're meowing in Japanese? 😂"
- "So what if I AM?!?"
Tegan
- likes animals but he often sees them through a screen rather than in real life
- he's honestly a little bit scared of getting scratched so he stays on the side at first
- but when he sees you having so much fun he gets envious and gets closer, trying to play with the cat
- he's not really successful...
- "Looks like it doesn't like me. I only get along with the villagers in Animal Blessing..."
- is so sad that not only have you been snatched away by the cute kitty, but also he can't join in on the fun
- you trick him into meowing for the cat because apparently "it will feel at ease if it hears you make the same sound as them"
- "Wait, really? You're pulling my leg, aren't you?"
- "Nope. Seriously, you can moogle it."
- "Whenever you bring up Moogle it means that you're lying because you don't have any solid proof..."
- does it anyway
- is super embarrassed when you start laughing because he got tricked so easily
- curses himself for being so gullible
Tyler
- loves animals, but mostly loves how funny they can be under the right circumstances
- pulls out his phone camera to film you playing with the cat
- "A really cute kitten and a really adorable human being side by side, this will definitely gather a lot of views on ViewTube!"
- he's being silly again while flirting with you, that's the part you like about him though
- he gives commentary on every single thing the cat does
- "Oh my GOD! Look at its paws!!! LOOK AT ITS PAWS!! WOOOOOW! That is spectacuLAR LaDiES AnD gEnTLeMeN!!"
- is talking with a nonexistent crowd
- but when he's done filming you keep on playing with it and Tyler feels a bit forgotten
- hugs you gently from behind then SQUEEZES you really hard
- "Tylerr... I can't breath... Hhhhhhhh."
- "Really? Good! You shouldn't ditch me for a cat Y/N! Howww daaare youuuu..."
- is joking about it but he's genuinely a bit jealous

DAMN IT I was going to ask for Magnus/Alec/Lucifer but then saw the "no smut" request. You’re no fun, Morgan ): Fine then, how about winged!Malec teaching their kid how to take care of his/her wings? (I just want something cute and I don’t trust you not to twist my prompt into angst if I’m even a tiny bit vague)
SDFJLSKDFDKFJ Sorry to disappoint with the no smut request xD Hope this fluff fills that void <3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“This is so boring,” Tyler groans as he falls back, splaying on the ground.
“Tyler this is important,” Alec reminds the ten-year-old.
Magnus and Alec decided that today was going to be the day that they taught their son how to groom his wings on his own. Magnus cleared their living room of all the furniture, only leaving the rug and record player to play some soft music during the lesson. With the size of Alec’s and Magnus’ wings, it would have been difficult to have this lesson around furniture without something breaking.
“They’re not even fully grown yet!” The boy gestures his arms at the ceiling before flopping them on the ground. “Shouldn’t we wait until then?”
“That’s not important when it comes to wing grooming, Ty,” Magnus says, leaning over his son. “If you don’t learn now, then that means Dad and I will have to groom your wings until you’re eighteen.”
“Would that be so bad?” Tyler pouts before putting on his most charming smile. He pushes up on his elbows looking at his parents. “You guys are the best at it.”
Alec snorts at the suck-up. Magnus turns his head to glare at him while Tyler’s smile cracks just a bit. Alec shrugs at his husband not even trying to hide his smile.
“He definitely got that from you,” Alec points out.
“Please, Alexander,” Magnus scoffs. “I am the picture of innocence.”
Alec and Tyler share a look and a raised eyebrow before turning back to Magnus. Magnus huffs and crosses his arms.
“That he definitely gets from you, darling,” Magnus pouts while the two dissolve into giggles.
“Alright, alright,” Alec relents, reaching over to pull Tyler up into a sitting position again. “Papa is right, pipsqueak. This is important to learn at a young age. I was the same way and waited until I was sixteen to learn how to groom my wings and it was rough.”
That gets their son’s attention. He perks up at the words, his tiny blue wings shake behind him.
“What happened?” he asks.
“Well I had to get some feathers pulled out,” Alec winces at the memory. His wings shake behind him, some dark violet feathers fall to the ground. “It’s not a great feeling. I thought I could get by and be okay, but the pain of twisted feathers on your wings. It makes it difficult to fly when every time you flap your wings pain laces throughout it.”
“Oh,” Tyler trails off, his wings curling towards him. “I didn’t know it could get like that.”
Alec smiles at his son, scooting over to curl a wing and arm around him. Alec ruffles Tyler’s head and pulls his arm back before his son can swat it away.
“Dad!” he groans as he fixes his hair. Alec pulls his son in closer before he can protest.
“I get that it’s tiring work, but in the long run, it’s going to benefit you so much,” Alec explains. “Besides, once you learn, you can pass on these skills to people you love and you can help Papa and me groom ours.”
Tyler perks up a that. “You’d really let me groom your wings, Dad? Without Papa there?”
“Of course I would, pipsqueak. But you have to let Papa and I teach you first. Before you can groom someone else’s wings, you have to learn how to do it on yourself.”
Tyler nods rapidly, his floppy hair bouncing with the force of the nod. Alec looks over at his husband and sees Magnus’ eyes have a glow to them. Magnus once told him that he could watch Alec and Tyler interact for the rest of his life and be content. That he never imagined having a family of his own. A spouse and a child.
Alec sends Magnus a smile before beckoning him to come closer. Magnus scoots until he’s right next to Alec, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Tyler gags at the display of affection and mutters ‘gross cooties’ under his breath getting a laugh out of his parents.
“Just wait until you’re older,” Magnus notes. “I’m sure you’ll be singing a different tune.”
“Not in a million years,” Tyler declares.
Magnus whispers in Alec’s ear. “I give it 200 years.”
“I give it 50, only because I’ve seen the way he’s been looking at Madzie,” Alec whispers back.
“I can hear you!” Tyler exclaims with a faint blush on his cheeks, his hand cover his ears. “I would like to learn how to groom my wings now.”
Magnus reaches over and pulls Tyler’s hands away and presses a kiss to his head.
“Okay, down to business, my little bluejay. No more joking.” Magnus sits up straight stretching out his golden wings, Alec following suit. They watch as Tyler straightens as well, stretching out his wings, serious face on. Alec wishes he had a camera to capture the moment.
“Now we’re going to start with the furthest point of our wings…”
The grooming session takes all morning. Magnus and Alec carefully instruct their son through the process of combing feathers and how to untwist them. There were moments where Tyler got frustrated with his wings but Alec and Magnus had reassured him that it was normal for younger wings to be more difficult than adult wings.
By the time noon came around, there was a pile of dark violet, gold, and blue feathers in the middle of them. Tyler once again fell on his back with a cheer of accomplishment only to sit up with a hiss. He forgot that his wings would be sensitive right after grooming them. Magnus stifles a laugh while Alec shakes his head at their son.
“We’re done!” Ty exclaims. “Can we eat lunch now?”
“Moving on before we’re even done?” Magnus asks, getting off the ground and stepping out of the room. Tyler’s wings sag at the words and turns to Alec.
“There’s more?” he whines.
“Just one more step, pipsqueak,” Alec reassures.
They both watch as Magnus reenters the room with a small chest. He sits back down in his original spot and sets the chest in front of him. With a snap and wave of his hand, the chest expands and grows in size. Opening the lid reveals a plethora of gold and dark violet feathers.
“Would you like to do the honors, Ty?” Magnus asks.
Tyler looks between the feathers on the ground and the chest. He stares up at his fathers with wide eyes. It seems that their son had forgotten this detail of grooming. Gathering the discarded feathers and locking them away in a box, so no one would be able to use your feathers against you. Tyler hadn’t really started to shed until a few days ago which sparked this grooming session.
“I get to join mine with yours?” He whispers.
“Of course you do, Ty. You are our son.”
Tears gather in their son’s eyes as he starts to gather the feathers off the ground and gently place them in the chest. Magnus grasps Alec’s hand and squeezes tight, both of them trying to reign in their emotions watching their son delicately place their old feathers in the chest. Magnus’ wing reaches around Alec’s back and curls around him. Alec gladly leans into the touch and rests his head on Magnus’ shoulder.
His husband never had a good grip on his wings when he got emotional. It’s one of his favorite things about him. Alec got so many wing cuddles after Magnus had a long day at work, but he would never complain. The fact that Magnus’ wings reached out to him and Tyler when he was exhausted spoke a thousand words about his love for them.
Magnus stops Tyler just as he was about to put the last few feathers in the chest. The only ones left were a feather from each of them. With a wave of his hand, the three feathers became connected at the shaft by a small string, making a necklace. Tyler looked at the jewelry in awe and rushes to put it on. He looks down at the three feathers resting on his chest.
Alec and Magnus wait with bated breath when suddenly their son launches at them, wrapping his arms around their neck and ducking his head below theirs.
“I love you, Dad and Papa,” Tyler mutters into his fathers’ necks, his voice just a tinge wobbly.
Magnus presses a kiss to the top of his head as Alec wraps his arms around the both of them. Magnus’ wings come around all of them sheltering them from the outside world as Tyler’s sniffs fill the loft.
“And we love you, Tyler,” Alec whispers in the small space. “Forever and always.”

surprised you don't like Mizzie. Isn't that kind of Boy likes Girl just because the classic Tobin ship like Klaroline and Memori? Or is it because MG is black? To be clear, not saying you're racist but do you think Mizzie can't be a proper Tobin ship because MG's race won't let him be a proper Ted?
I want to clarify that I see an important qualitative difference between Memori and the other two ships: Memori is not a reactive ship; as in both members were head over heels from minute one and Murphy never was a Relentless Pursuer in their relationship. That is how I prefer my ships if I can pick them lol, which doesn’t mean I can’t love other dynamics, of course.
Now, onto Klaroline vs. Lizzie/MG. I’ve wondered why I react so well to some reactive shippers (in this same ‘verse, Bonkai for example) and so terrible to others, and (barring the fact that I do find the trend of giving female leads those as endgames when beloved male leads don’t suffer that ~indignity increasely annoying) it was with Scandal and my hate for Fitz/Olivia that I had a lightbulb moment lmao: I don’t ~~project or relate to Caroline, as much as I adore her as a character construction.
But I DO with Lizzie, and that muddles how I feel about these ships for the simple reason that a Relentless Pursuer is my idea of a nightmare in real life. Looking back, I think this is also behind my hate for ships like Donna/Harvey on Suits, my outright despisal of Ben/Devi in NHIE, part of my annoyance at Doc/Wynonna in Wynonna Earp... My tendency to project does have a strong effect on what I am and am not able to ship for my chosen character lmfao, and I find seeing them being forced to settle for something or someone they’ve repeteadly rejected before supremely upsetting.
I also think another factor is the trajectory of each girl’s shipping. Caroline was really only a pursuer with one guy: Stefan. He immediately shot her down, she was abused by his brother and repeteadly put down by Matt, and that changed how she reacted to men. Her relationships from then on were on the reactive side almost as yet another protective barrier: Tyler loved her and made her feel great about herself, Jesse had a super flattering crush on her and was a nice pet-project, and ofc Klaus’ attention was heady and new and powerful. But her feelings were never about those guys themselves, about who they fundamentally were as people, iykwim? Not like with Stefan. And I don’t think Caroline would’ve ever gotten (one over xD) Stefan if KC hadn’t happened. Which to me it’s merely another reason for liking it xD.
Meanwhile, Lizzie has pursued both Rafael and Sebastian, we’ve seen her have much more proactive feelings than Caroline did for any non-Stefan guy... and she’s been let down in one way or another, and put through more ordeals, that might lead her to a Relentless Pursuer’s arms. Obviously this is just the beginning, and if it lead to her getting a good ending I could handle the ship (I’ve changed my mind about certain ships thanks to a show’s trajectory before, after all), but it’s too early to know and I’m stuck in the now xD
The structural angle does matter, obviously (it always does IMO), because the one thing I love most about Klaroline was the narrative capital it brought to Caroline, my fave character, and I’m not seeing anything on that vein with MG (I’m not discarding the fact that I could possibly be wrong, but so far, I’m not seeing it).
But this is another cause-effect thing because... it’s not so much that I think MG’s race will be an impediment to raise as lead (though yeah, writers react like this to male characters of colour all the time. The outcomes usually awaiting for the few male leads of colour out there are depressing af. I have no love lost for Bellamy, but this is the one respect in which his fall saddens me, after the spectacular raise he had during the first five seasons); I think MG was cast with a black actor because there wasn’t an opening in the first place. Klaus rules the ‘verse in absentia. Every other guy has been written as purposefully non-threatening, and I think that influenced the casting choices: a lot of creators shy from and outright refuse to put MoC to truly important roles, but in Legacies they could get points for diversity because they never intended to give any of them any real clout.
Tl;dr: there are three factors at place: structural benefits to the pursued; their original position in the narrative (i.e. where my annoyance to female leads only getting this is born), and my own relationship to the character. Depending on how much or how little of each there is, my gut reaction to a ship varies.

“Are you sure this is legal?” Even drunk, Craig felt like something was off about the ‘no trespassing after sunset’ sign that hung on the lifeguard post they were walking by. His feet felt light, though he was sure it was the shots he’d taken at his party. Well, it had been labelled his party, though he didn’t know most of the people his manager invited. The house’s music was pumping in the distance, but Mini was dragged further away by… someone. “What’s your name again?”
“Hunter.” The guy seemed annoyed by the question, and Craig wondered if he’d asked it before. To be fair, he’d had to get to know a lot of people’s names that night, and alcohol didn’t help matters. Also, he really didn’t know where he was at the moment.
Well, he knew the city at least. L.A was still the same as it’d been twenty years ago, when he’d thought he ran the streets on his bike or his surfboard. Now, after winning the NASL cup and being crowned MVP, he really did own the city. That was why he was having the dumb party with those people he didn’t know or care for. Why some guy with a stupid name was dragging him like a two year old’s ratty blanket, no care or concern for his well being. But really, did anyone these days? When was the last time that someone actually talked to Craig about something other than money, fame, or what he could do for them?
His eyes closed slowly while he was dragged along, hearing the waves of the ocean crashing into the shore. His feet had lost their shoes, maybe along the walk to the sand, and his toes dug in with a familiar joy. This felt like home, not that stuffy expensive house that overlooked the city. The salty air, the water, all of it was so reminiscent of his childhood. How many nights had he spent on a beach like this? Searching for shells, building bonfires, finding the constellations and trying to figure out his place in the world. That had been some of the best years of his life, staring at the endless sky to remind himself that he was just so small in the grand scheme of things.
But the best part he remembered was him. The boy with grubby cheeks and a scowl who turned into the teen with rough hands and angry blue eyes. The one person who asked him for nothing. Nothing but his company. When Craig thought he had nothing, he gave Mini everything he needed to reach his dream. Craig wished he could have done the same back then.
Maybe now, too, if his drunk heart had anything to say about it.
“Freeze.” The voice that called out the command sounded familiar, but Mini’s brain was too sloshed to fully grasp from where. The hand that had been wrapped around his wrist was gone in an instant. It took Craig a moment to open his eyes again, and he caught a glimpse of the back of the man (Henry? Harold?) who had brought him to the beach running out of sight. It took a moment for his body to realize it was on its own, and then the world started to tilt. His arms tried to stabilize him by flailing out on either side, but it was the firm wall that his back bumped into that kept him from falling. Slowly, Mini blinked, letting gravity pull his head back to gaze up at the owner of the chest keeping his upright. His eyes were blurred a bit, partly from alcohol and the slant of his glasses, but even with the smeared vision, he picked up on some of the man’s features.
Why’d this officer have to have blue eyes like him, too?
“You’re…really pretty.” His words fell out without any chance of filter stopping them, but he was too drunk to mind. Everything was just right for a moment; the music in the background was lower now, and the warmth on his back felt like a comforting blanket. The ocean breeze had chilled him, and while his first companion hadn’t hesitated to leave him cold and alone, this stranger seemed fine with Mini pressed against him. Hands that might have grasped his hips to keep him standing were the right side of rough, large and just so familiar-
“Craig?”
“That is…is totally my name.” He laughed at his own answer, head fluffy with memories and booze. He didn’t mind slipping deeper into his daydream, letting the water and cold of night sooth his wounded soul. He knew this wasn’t him; the police officer’s badge dug into his shoulder blade, and he could see the flashing lights from the cop car parked somewhere behind them.  He wasn’t that lucky. But the cop was built just like him; tall and scruffy, but soft despite the large body. Prickly, if he got any hints from the scoff that brushed his ear. But he hadn’t dropped Craig, which meant he was probably just as caring and kind on the inside as…Mini squeezed his eyes tighter, leaning back into the officer holding him. But when he spoke, it was for someone who was miles away. “God, I missed you.”
“What are you doing out here?”
“Iunno. Some guy dragged me out here for something,” he murmured, hearing a growl of annoyance that made him smile.
“You idiot, what kind of answer-”
“It’s been so long since…since we’ve done this.” He didn’t care if his pathetic mumbling was spilled to a reporter and plastered on a tabloid next week; he just needed to let it out. Years of longing, being alone in a crowd of thousands, searching for his breaking point. Decades of just not knowing where his life was headed, or when he’d stop spinning so high, when he’d crash and burn into the ground. Who would stand by Mini in the wreckage?
He would have, probably. Because he had given Craig his nights and attention before anyone even knew his stupid name. What would he think of Mini, now?
The decade of radio silence gave the answer he didn’t want to hear.
“Everything okay down there? Need me to come help haul him to the car?” The call of another officer from the beach’s side road threatened to break the dream-like state of Craig’s moment, and he groaned in protest before pressing closer to his source of warmth.
“Nah, I’ve got him. No need to call it in.” But just like his old friend would have done, this officer, this stranger, had protected Mini.
“Do ya now? This one’s special to ya, is he?” There was a tease somewhere in the tone, but Mini didn’t open his eyes to investigate.
“Shut up, Hanby.  Take a drive down the rest of the road and see if anyone else is around. If you can find the punk who bailed when we pulled up, cuff him. I know where this idiot lives.”
“How are you planning on getting home after helping your new friend out?”
“I was off the clock ten minutes ago; I don’t gotta tell you shit. Now get moving.” The banter was swimming in Craig’s ears, but the thumb that brushed against his hip bone melted his brain too much to butt in.
“Oh, there’s definitely a story here. Be ready to share it with Fong and Del over coffee tomorrow. Can’t wait, buddy.” A warm laugh echoed against the night sky when the other officer moved away, and Craig’s ear picked up on the rocks shifting under the car’s tires when it pulled away.
“Fuck, he’s almost as big of a pain as you.” The words were sharp and warm against Craig’s ear, and he felt his body shudder from something deeper than the cold.
“God.” This cop even sounded like him. His eyes burned behind closed lids as he let out a wet laugh, nuzzling his nose into the collar of the officer. Maybe it’d get him arrested for indecent behavior in public, but he smelt like smoked wood, motor oil, and him. Or what he’d smelt like as a teenager, maybe. The details were so fuzzy now; was he just blending this person with his past to make himself feel better? Mini’s mind sloshed over new thoughts like waves, barreling into the shore of his reality with no intention to break.
“Let’s get you home.” But before he could take a step, before the stranger could finally break the final thread of Mini’s mirage of happiness, he spoke.
“I miss him.” A sob pushed out over his laugh, head useless against the tense shoulder behind him. “I miss us, how we…sat at the ocean, talked and…and…I just felt loved, maybe. Not like now. I don’t know if he ever felt…it’s been so long since…since I’ve been happy. You just feel like love, mr…mr. officer-sir-man. You feel like Tyler, and it’s…been so long since I’ve seen him. Since I’ve had him by my side. My whole side’s missing, it’s…he’s gone. And here I am, drunk and probably arrested and in love with a ghost. Tyler would hate me now-”
“Shit.” The grip around his waist tightened for a moment, but Mini didn’t mind the squeeze. It grounded him in a way nobody had in years. The alcohol was doing a bang up job of messing with his head, as it tried to convince him the officer’s next words were mumbled against his forehead. “Brock’s gonna be impossible to deal with when he finds out he was right. Fuck.”
“Hey, I…I have a Brock, too.” Craig laughed and then slumped, a crest of fatigue finally rolling into him. “He’s always right, good guy. He’d make a good wife for me.”
“Wait, what-”
“Cept can’t marry him when I love Tyler. Life would probably…be easier if I just forgot him. But, I can’t.” He yawned and accepted he’d end up in the cell by the morning, giving all his weight to the officer holding him. “I’m gonna pass out now. Thanks for…being here.”
“I should have been here before, idiot, I-.”  Whatever else came next, Craig didn’t hear, his mind slipping into sleep.
He didn’t know that Officer Tyler Wine carried him home. Not to the house with strangers, but to his mother’s house three miles away. The one right across the street from the house Tyler himself had bought from his parents three years ago. He didn’t know Tyler was still in his city, still driving their streets, still sitting on their beaches, reminiscing. He didn’t know Tyler had refused to reach out in case Craig no longer needed a local boy that didn’t shine in the limelight. That he’d ignored their friend’s advice, kept his nose in his work, pretended he wasn’t missing a part of himself.
And Mini didn’t know that he’d still be there when Craig woke up the next morning.

I am beyond angry, this god damn NoCo fanfiction has ruined my day and it is only 7:20 AM. Cody is such a fucking bastard man, he says he fucking loves Noah with all his heart, but previous knowledge points to the fact he doesn’t. I read most of the installation before this one (”Valentine Countdown”), and Cody didn’t seem nearly as hateable in that one as he does in this. Cody in this is borderline unlikeable, when he was enjoyable and cute in the previous one.
A Summary so this makes sense and the rant, idk, I’ve gone insane:
 Anyways, Cody says he loves Noah but it’s said multiple times that Cody never returned Noah’s calls or emails when they were together between the Celebrity Manhunt special and “Valentine Countdown”. Noah, understandably, upset about this and ends it with Cody (or Cody ends it with him? the fanfiction backtracks sometimes). Then World Tour comes around, Cody is trying to regain Noah’s love/affections and Alejandro is ruining those attempts left and right; because he too loves/has genuine affections for Noah. Alejandro, though he meddes with the NoCo times, shows he’s guilty because of what he’s done (case in point when he inadvertently makes Noah cry because he convinced him Cody was on a date with Sierra during the Paris episode). I’m not saying that Alejandro was right in his slippery eel bullshit, but he certainly is better than Cody is in this toward the end of the book. Alejandro comforts Noah after making him cry and makes the others of his team leave Noah alone after the challenge (mostly to his own benefit, but Noah did not want to talk atm either). Just, it’s obvious that Alejandro actually cares about Noah, he tries to get Noah’s attention and when he finally gets it, yeet here comes Cody waltzing in going, “Oh Noah I love you so *goes to smooch city*”. Cody does make attempts to get back with Noah, but he still doesn’t take into account that he’s the one who should have tried harder the first time around. Noah straight up tells him this, he considers it then, but he still calls his fuckups and the consequences they created a “misunderstanding” (chapter 11 pt 1).
Take some more responsibility for not pulling your fucking weight in the relationship, oval boy. Noah tried to stay with him before WT and Celebrity Manhunt, but Cody refused to respond to his messages or calls. If Cody really cared as much as he says did, he would have at least called back, which he admits he never did. Like bruh, Noah literally loves him to the point he says he can’t love anyone else and that he will always love Cody. Cody single-handedly ruined his own chances with Noah, but, inadvertently, Alejandro’s and Noah’s chance at love. Then, Cody has the audacity to say that it’s a “misunderstanding” that he was going to “put to rest” and that this time he will “make sure Noah listened.” The last time this bitch tried to explain something, he fucked up so bad that Noah thought Cody was talking about their time in Paris and not the “date” Sierra and Cody had.
I cannot with this shit; even if I didn’t ship AleNoah, Alejandro is still the better, more genuine choice for Noah! I understand that Noah has been through a lot in this fanfiction, but I’m sure Alejandro would understand if Noah wanted to wait until after the show to decide and shit. But NO! This fic must fit the NOCO AGENDA, wherein Cody and Noah always end up together even if it’s not good for them. Obviously, the fanfiction was destined to end in NoCo, but why did Cody have to be so unlikeable to me? I liked him in the other fics, he’s a simp, sure, but he’s a genuine simp. In this, it just feels like he’s clinging onto the last thing that “makes” him happy. Cody seems want to be with Noah more for the factor of nostalgia than anything else, he misses the good times they had together and not Noah as a whole. (I am realizing I might have read in a bit too much to this 2015 NoCo fanfiction.)
I should stop before I get too far into this narc rant of mine. Don’t go attack the author. If you do and I find out, you will be blocked. I do not support such actions. I am complaining, yes, but it’s about the context of the story and not the author themselves, please do leave them be.
On a general note, I like NoCo and AleNoah, but this ff Cody rubbed me the wrong way. I genuinely dislike him. He’s an oval-headed bitch who doesn’t deserve my guy Noah’s attention.
why am I like this please help, i just went on a six paragraph rant from 7:20 AM to 8:11 AM
Send help, I have possibly gone insane from Coronatime.
- Noah needs help and should stop reading old fanfiction after staying up since yesterday
Update 8:30 AM: I probably should have finished the fanfiction before going on a narc rage. Anyways, Alejandro was definitely gonna push Noah out of the fucking plane before Noah apologized for stringing him along and playing with his heart unintentionally. Still, bruh, Alejandro what the fuck.
Update 8:41 AM: I straight up forgot about the seduction shit Alejandro pulled near the beginning of the story. Ngl, that shit was fucked up. So, the real mvps here are Izzy, Owen, Tyler, Gwen, Ezekiel, and DJ. They have been helpful and good friends to Cody and Noah.
Update 8:50 AM: ZEKE FUCKING DIED. HE SACRIFICED HIS LIFE TO SAVE NOAH FROM GETTING SUCKED OUT OF THE CARGO HOLD. ALEJANDRO IS BIG SUCC AND CODY KISSED NOAH AFTER THEIR MUTUAL FRIEND POSSIBLY DIED. I FUCKING HATE EVERY MAJOR PLAYER IN THIS FANFICTION. THE ABSOLUTE FUCKERY AND TOMFOOLERY THIS SHOWS, I AM TIRED, FLABBERGASTED, AND, FOR ONCE IN MY TD FAN CAREER, I WISH ZEKE WOULD HAVE STAYED AROUND. (I refuse to read the final chapter after this, I did. I’m done. I can’t.)

RoR Article 2: Get Help
To make things easier on myself, I’m splitting up my thoughts on the Rumors of Rockland second article.  I already gave an overview of this game.  Here, I’ll cover whatever random thoughts and observations I had for the events that occur when you choose to get help.
[Major spoilers below for Rumors of Rockland Article 2]
Well now, this was quite a treat.  I will say this is the first time we really get to genuinely see Avery friendly.  In the Misfits demo he’s the thug from hell.  In Rumors of Rockland Article 1, he’s an absolute mess both raging and sobbing.  So it shouldn’t be too surprising that thus far I haven’t had the most positive view of Avery.  Mostly fear and some sympathy, but this article let him just be a normal dude you can chat with (well, after the fight).
It does sound very logical that the MC would go to try to get Whesker for help.  Whesker’s not only someone they know, but he’s one of the people running the bar so yeah, he might not want a fight breaking out in the alleyway.  But he’s not there this time, so you make due on short notice. You know at least Callum and Avery are buds, so he might be able to help.
 Avery doesn’t hesitate, and the good news is that he’s able to subdue the drunks fast.  It’s not that the drunks didn’t deserve at least a punch in the face, but we know Avery was very much capable of killing them.  In fact, without Callum and the MC there, he likely would have.
Callum at least recognizes right away when Avery’s taking things too far and does make an attempt to get Avery to stop.  He does try to make a little joke of it though to the MC that Avery’s “not letting up.”  I don’t know if he was just trying to calm the very alarmed MC at the moment, or if he just assumed there wasn’t much he could do to stop Avery at this point. Maybe it’s both.  We don’t know yet if Callum’s always able to stop Avery when he’s present or if Callum just can’t read the warning signs before it’s too late sometimes.
Remember, Avery was merciless to the MC in the Misfits demo when he didn’t even know what offense the MC had committed.  You bet that Avery would have murdered the drunks for messing with Callum.
Luckily Callum is able to stop Avery from getting blood on his hands. I’m not entirely sure though if Avery stopped because Callum raised his voice on the second try, or because Callum reminded Avery that the MC was there.  I don’t know if Avery was more interested in not upsetting Callum or not killing in front of the MC.  Took Avery a second to stop looking a little fierce until he noted the MC cowering.
Notice how when Avery calms down, he acts almost like nothing had happened.  There’s no remorse.  First he seems reserved when he joins Callum and the MC, but he then joins in on the conversation and sometimes even takes over a little.
Overall it was very interesting listening to the two of them.  Rockland’s painted with a nice image at some points, but we’re also still reminded of the danger.  A couple more of my questions got answered.  It’s confirmed that if you know the right people and know how to cover your tracks, you can get away with a lot.  It helps that it sounds like people in Rockland usually take care of their own business rather than running to the police for help.  Usually at least.  Sounds like there are also several people who take charge around Rockland. I suppose if the Irish mafia has a hold on the town, it kind of makes sense why people would conduct themselves this way.
 We also learn that simply being in Rockland doesn’t guarantee you’re going to die.  Avery says you can walk by a really unhinged person every day and have nothing happen to you.  So that calms my nerves a little.  But at the same time, I have to remember that the main games to be released in the future will primarily be horror.  Hard to let my guard down sometimes.  But I’m thinking with those games it’s going to show us what the experience is like for an MC who either offended the wrong person, stuck their nose where it didn’t belong or is just plain unlucky.  Avery said don’t do stupid things that would get you killed in a horror film after all.
In the future I’ll dedicate a post to Avery completely, but that won’t be until after his game “Welcome to Rockland.”  But I will say that from all I’ve seen about him so far, Avery is a completely honest character.  He lets you know EXACTLY how he feels about something or a person (whether it’s good or bad) and won’t mince words.  All the stuff here that he warns the MC about I think is probably on point.  When he says he’s one of the people you shouldn’t mess with in Rockland, we know how dead serious of a statement that is.
It’s kind of fun when dialogue like that pops up actually.  For the MC in the story, it’s a little unnerving but they could see it as just a joke or someone trying to put up some bravado. Though the MC did witness Avery almost killing two guys, there may still be some doubt if he would REALLY have gone that far.  As the audience playing the game, we know what the truth is though.
I look forward to more morbid or casual warnings from characters in the RoR series that we may get to see are very real in the main line games.
Other fun bits, I absolutely loved the part with Avery shaking Callum after Callum just nonchalantly confesses to getting ecstasy from Tyler. Genuinely laughed out loud at that. Seems Avery can also be a little more sensible than even Callum at times.  Callum seems so carefree about nearly everything.
I’m all for Whesker kissing guys, Callum being a little feminine and AveryxCallum as well~  Also, what the hell Kinley?! XD
Also learning that Tyler is an actual doctor is flat out hilarious. So many jokes you can make with that. Like…does that mean he’d feel obligated to tell you all the side-effects of the drugs when you make a deal with him? Drug dealer and doctor are such opposite positions it really makes the whole situation bizarre.  Not entirely sure what Tyler’s been getting away with currently since it sounds like there are luckily other characters in Rockland there to go, “NO DON’T DO THAT!”
 Oh, I forgot to mention something!  Someone else brought this to my attention, I didn’t figure this out myself. There’s a small edit that was made at least to the very end of Article 1 where Whesker does ask for and gets your name.  You just pick to play article 1 in the 1.7 patch and you’ll find it.  That’s very important because you probably noticed in this article that Callum calls you correctly by your name.  The MC didn’t formally introduce themselves in this article.  This is further emphasizing how much the MC sticks out in town since Callum was able to figure out who you were when even the MC confirmed he hadn’t turned around last week to see you.  This also means that Whesker’s a bit of a gossip, haha. I’m not really surprised since he’s a bartender, and a new person in town would likely be a hot topic.  So if he knows your name, he’s going to pass it around.  Again, that just serves as a reminder that you can’t blend into this town quietly.
It really did feel like at the end that Callum, Avery and the MC were genuinely having a good time together.  Lots of small details thrown out in the ending conversation, but I think the biggest takeaway was just there are people who’ve been around for a long time and getting close with some people gets you inheriting a bunch of stuff.
I can’t confirm if the MC has full friendship status with Avery and Callum here, but it definitely sounds like they could freely ask them any questions they had from this point forward.

Tyler and Susanna, excerpt from Frat Boy Demon Hunter
Susanna sat on the hood of the car overlooking the pass below, the yellow glow from the illuminated houses warming the city beneath the mountain like a sunrise all its own. Tyler approached with caution, stunned to find someone else lingering in his self-proclaimed thinking spot.
The gravel between his sneakers shifted with his hesitant steps, and she careened her head, looking over her shoulder to watch him approach. An easy smile settled on her lips as the night wind stirred the fiery orange hair around her shoulders.
“I didn’t know anyone else came here,” Tyler admitted, stuffing his hands in his pockets to hide the nervous tremble in his muscles.
“I like to come up here sometimes to be alone, so I can think.”
He chuckled, a nervous habit. “Me too.”
“You can join me, if you’d like.”
“Oh? Me?”
“Yeah,” she laughed, widening her smile. “No one else is here.”
He swallowed hard and shuffled toward the vehicle. Turning his back to the car, he set his hands on the hood and lifted himself onto its solid and slick surface. Sliding upward, he positioned himself beside her: close enough to feel the warmth radiating from her body and to smell the sweet stirrings of honey wafting from her skin but not close enough to touch.
“Alone time with the great Susanna? I’m honored.”
She scoffed. “I’m nothing special.”
“You sure are popular around school, though,” Tyler noted. “And I think the entire male population would beg to differ that you are someone special.”
She shook her head but kept her eyes focused ahead, watching the lights shift in waves below. “Boys see what they want to see. They build up an image in their mind and choose someone to force it on. Even if that someone doesn’t want the attention.”
“So you never—” He caught himself, silencing his words even as his curiosity mounted. “I thought you dated all those guys and then broke their little hearts. That’s why they were obsessed with you.”
She lifted one shoulder in a half-hearted shrug. “I dated a few of them, sure, but not nearly as many as everyone thinks. Boys can be pretty single-minded sometimes. They settle on something and can’t stop themselves until they have it.”
“Does that include me?”
She turned her and met his gaze. “Absolutely.”
“Oh, come on,” he chuckled. “I’m not obsessive.”
“You play three sports, lead a fraternity, and befriend everyone at school. You’re the teachers’ favorite, beloved by everybody, and you’re one of the best performing students. Keep going like this, you’ll be swimming in scholarships next year, graduate with honors, and probably be valedictorian of your class. You don’t achieve that without a scary amount of passion and dedication.” She turned her attention back to the town. “You just don’t waste all that energy on girls.”
“Maybe only one girl has my attention,” he admitted in a hushed whisper, startled by his own bravery to admit such a dangerous truth.
She stretched her legs out before her and lay back against the windshield. “She must be really special to have caught your eye.”
“Oh, she is,” he announced with confidence as he lay at her side, bending his arms beneath his head. “She’s the most gorgeous girl I’ve ever seen.”
“That’s quite a statement.” She counted the stars overhead against the velvet black sky to keep her breaths slow and controlled. “What does she look like?”
“She’s got these light brown eyes that shimmer with rings of gold like copper when the sun catches her face just right. And her smile is sweet and small, like she’s shy—like she has no idea that the whole world is so jealous of her. There’s this small bundle of freckles on her nose, and every time she smiles, they wrinkle into one big mass of brown. Her hair—it’s orange and red like fire, and I swear, when I see her outside in the sun, her hair is like fire. It’s as alive as the rest of her, and I-I can’t stop looking at her. She’s—” He sighed and glanced at her. “She’s beautiful.”
She turned her head and dared to meet his glaring stare, blinking back tears as she did so. “Why don’t you tell her how you feel?”
He gulped, burying his nerves as they crept forward like claws, stretching around his shoulders and throat, choking the confidence from his veins. “I’m scared.”
She rolled onto her side and set her clasped hands beneath her head. Her eyes roved over his face, studying his every feature, every wrinkle, every perfect imperfection as they both held their breath, waiting for the other to crack.
“What’s to be scared of?” she asked in a soft breath. “She’s a person too.”
“What if she doesn’t think about me like I think about her?”
“But what if she does?”
tl;dr: Tyler is the oldest son of long line of demon hunters, and Susanna is the girl in college he has been in love with for three years (he’s a junior ;p). What Tyler doesn’t know? Susanna is a succubus who escaped Hell to avoid a life of, well, fucking male mortals to death. XD She knows he’s a Hunter, and she kept watch on him just to make sure he never found out about her. He’s oblivious to her true nature ‘cause her human disguise is THAT good. But since she’s a succubus, part of her ability is that her appearance changes for each man who views her, so Ty sees his dream girl in her and is fascinated with her (hence why she tears up when he describes this “gorgeous girl” he’s in love with ‘cause they both know he means her and she can’t see what he sees ‘cause that appearance is just an illusion.
ALSO! Another reason why Tyler can’t see through her disguise, despite his Hunter training, is that Susanna has been VERY careful to never touch him in any way, like not even a hug or a touch on his cheek. Simple touches are what trigger her powers to control/warp a guy’s mind and make them infatuated with her instantly. Since she truly cares for Ty, she avoids all contact to avoid being detected, leading him to naturally assume she doesn’t like him. :]
Not so tl;dr, but I really love these two, OK?

@thegirlwithnonickname here are chapter two and three of Always by your side!
I still remember how I wrote chapter three... sitting in my bed listening to "Grow Old With Me" by Michael Schulte on repeat and crying xD I can really recommend that song, it fits the story and especially chapter three very well!
.
Chapter 2
Tyler lay down and took his phone from the bedside table. He dialed Lucas number. Even though it was already pretty late he answered immediately. As usual.
'Hey.'
Tyler closed his eyes. 'Hello Lucas.'
For a moment there was silence. But than Lucas started to talk again.
'They're fighting again, am I right?'
Tyler nodded. He could hear them downstairs.
'Yes', he whispered. Lucas sighed.
'What's the reason this time?'
Tyler clutched to his phone.
'I don't think they need a reason anymore. Especially dad.'
'Damn. Do you want me to come over?'
Tyler shook his head.
'Don't be silly, it's the middle of the night.'
"So what? I can sneak out.'
Tyler wouldn't doubt that. It wouldn't be the first time.
'You don't have to come over.'
'Sure?'
'Yes.'
'Okay, when you think so... Hey, have you heard...'
He started talking about some story he heard in school or on the internet or somewhere else.
He didn't care if the story was true or not. He was just talking.
And Tyler didn't care either, as long as he heard Lucas voice.
It was calm and familiar. That always calmed Tyler down.
After some time Lucas stopped and asked: 'Is everything alright now?'
Tyler took a deep breath. "Yeah everything's alright.'
'Good. Good night Ty.'
'Good night Lucas.'
That's how it went everytime. When Tyler's parents were fighting late at night Tyler called Lucas. Then they talked until Tyler could forget about his fighting parents.
No matter to what hour, Lucas was always there. Tyler would often flee to Lucas and his family when the situation at home was too much for him to take.
And especially when he was a young boy his mom used to send him over to Lucas home when she knew that her husband would start a fight again. She didn't wanted her son to see that. And she knew that Tyler was in good hands when he was with Lucas family.
He was always welcomed there.
~~~
As Tyler walked down the stairs he could hear his mother talking to someone. His father was at work, so that probably meant she had a guest.
Tyler hesitated. He didn't really feel like having company right now.
But suddenly he recognized the second voice - it was Lucas mother.
Tyler walked down a few steps so he could hear the two women talking.
He sat down at one of the stairs so they wouldn't see him and started to listen.
'... really strong, you and your husband.'
'We... we try our best. It's hard. But we try.'
Lucas mom sounded like she had cried. It reminded Tyler of her call on the day Lucas had died.
Just thinking about that made him wanna go back to his room.
'Say, how is Tyler doing?'
Tyler froze as he heard his name.
'He's not feeling good. The boy hasn't really left his room since Lucas funeral. Sometimes I hear him cry, late at night... It's really hard for him.'
'The poor boy. It would've break Lucas heart. Tyler was his best friend.'
'And Lucas was Tyler's best friend.'
Tyler stood up and walked down the rest of the steps.
'And he'll always be my best friend', he said.
The two women looked at him in surprise.
'Tyler', they both said.
Lucas mom stood up, walked towards him and hugged him.
"It's nice to see you Tyler.' She smiled. It was a sad smile.
'Sit down darling', his mother said.
Tyler took a seat and Lucas mom sat down as well.
Tyler's mother brought them a cup of tea.
'I'll leave you alone.' Then she left the room.
Lucas mother took a sip of her coffee. Then she looked at Tyler.
'I'm here because I wanted to thank you. For your speech. I didn't had the chance to do it at the... at Lucas funeral.'
Tyler could remember his speech. He had to stop halfways because he started to cry. In front of the whole community.
'Lucas deserved a way better speech.'
'Don't say that Tyler. It was beautiful. Lucas would've liked it.'
Tyler wasn't sure about that.
'I should've finished it.'
He was still angry about it. Lucas would've ended the speech. He was strong. Tyler wasn't.
Lucas mother shook her head. 'What's important is what you said, not whether you finished it or not. It was really important for us. That's why I want to thank you.'
'You don't have to. He was my best friend. It was the least I could do.'
Lucas mom smiled. 'Yeah... My little boy... he always wanted siblings, did you know that? He used to ask me when he'll finally get a little brother.'
The memory made her laugh. It sounded a bit like Lucas laugh. Tyler missed it...
'He always wanted someone he could play with. Someone he could protect. He never stopped to ask me. That's it, until he met you. Since he befriended you he never asked again. I think... he had you and that was all he needed.'
She took Tyler's hand. 'He really loved you. You were like a brother to him. You know, I'm really glad that you and Lucas found each other.'
'I am glad too. Really. I...' He stopped.
There was so much he wanted to tell her. He wanted to say how important Lucas was to him. How thankful Tyler was for everything he had done for him. That he changed his life. That he showed him what friendship meant. And he wanted to tell her how much he missed Lucas.
But as Tyler looked at Lucas mom he suddenly realized there's no need to say all this out loud. She knew.
She let go of his hand and stood up.
'I have to go now. My husband is waiting for me. Thanks for your time.'
She smiled at Tyler's mom, who just came back into the room.
'I'll bring you to the door', his mom said.
'Okay. Goodbye Tyler.'
Tyler stood up and said goodbye as well.
'Wait, I almost forgot. There's something I wanted to give you.'
She searched her purse for a small object and gave it to him. As he looked at it he knew what it was. He couldn't believe his eyes.
'That's... that's...'
'Lucas bracelet.' Lucas mother nodded.
'I can't accept this...'
The little item in his hand was really the leathern bracelet Lucas used to wear. He already owned it when Tyler met him. Lucas loved the bracelet.
It was a gift from his late grandfather. It was something special to him. And a huge keepsake.
'Yes, you can. Lucas would've wanted you to have it. I know you'll take good care of it.'
She closed his hand around the bracelet and hugged him again. Then she left.
Tyler stood alone in the kitchen. He opened his hand and looked at the bracelet.
It felt like a piece of Lucas came back to him.
And he swore he would never let it go.
.
Chapter 3
'Come on, Tyler. Get out of there', his mom called.
But ten years old Tyler refused to leave his hideout. He was lying in his bed, the blanket raised over his head. He knew it was childish. He didn't care.
'I don't want to.'
Today was the first day at the new school and Tyler didn't want to go. He was scared. Because a new school meant new people and a lot of changes. He hated changes.
'But you have to. Otherwise you'll be late for school.'
Tyler ignored his mom's words. But suddenly a second voice caught his attention.
'Yeah she's right! We'll be late!'
Tyler recognized it immediately.
'Lucas?'
The other boy made his way to Tyler's bed and lifted the blanket a bit to get a look at his friend.
'Yeah it's me. I've been waiting for you, buddy. It's our big day today! Why are you hiding?'
No answer. Lucas sighed.
'Let me guess. It's about school isn't it? I promise you, it will be fun! You don't need to worry.'
'But... I am worried, Lucas. All the new teachers and classmates...'
Lucas was an optimist. Where Tyler only thought about the negative things, Lucas saw what was good. And he tried to let Tyler see it too.
'... won't harm you. Come on Ty, we can't stay in elementary school forever. Sure, there are new people. Some things may change, but that's not a bad thing. Just think about all the new things we'll learn!'
That was one of the reasons Tyler was glad to have him as a friend.
'Besides, you're not alone there! We're in the same class, remember? I'm with you. That won't change. We'll get through it together. We're partners, right?'
Tyler peered from under his blanket to look at Lucas, who was smiling at him. And he returned the smile, because he knew that Lucas was right after all.
No matter what might happen. No matter what might change. He wasn't alone. His friend was there. They were a team.
'Then let's go, partner!' Tyler, now a little less scared, finally got out of his hideout.
'That's what I wanted to hear.', Lucas said.
Tyler's mom once said that one of the most beautiful things about Lucas and Tyler's friendship was how they were always there for each other and how they complemented the other perfectly.
Lucas had enough joy living inside of him to lift Tyler up when he was feeling down and Tyler's steady personality calmed Lucas down when he overextended himself.
~~~
As Tyler went into the school building, he almost felt like back when he had his first day at this school. Everything seemed strange and exclusive. The many students, the colorless walls and the noise.
But this time he was alone. Lucas wasn't there to make him feel safe.
Tyler had begged his parents to let him stay at home for another few days. But they said no, so he had to go.
He felt completely overstrained. He spent the last few days alone without talking to someone besides his parents and Lucas mom.
Now that he was surrounded by people again, he was lost.
It wasn't just that he was alone, everyone was starring at him too. Everyone knew about Lucas. And everyone knew that Tyler was his best friend.
So everyone was looking at the guy who just lost his only real friend.
It must've been a strange sight. Tyler had the hood of his hoddie pulled down low to cover up his insomnia and grief marked face and to block everyone out.
But the strangest thing was to see him without Lucas.
Even in school there had always been Lucas and Tyler, Tyler and Lucas. Everyone knew that. The people were used to see the two of them together all the time.
Tyler without Lucas however... That wasn't normal.
And for Tyler it was a nightmare.
He struggled to get through the lessons. He never said a word. All he did was sitting in his classes, lost in thought, playing with Lucas bracelet around his wrist and starring at the blackboard. He couldn't recognize a single word that was said during the lessons.
He couldn't focus. Tyler just wanted to escape.
He could do without the trivial lessons and the pitiful glances of teachers and students.
~~~
'Tyler! Hey! Wait! Tyler!'
Tyler kept walking. All he wanted to do is survive the break and the lessons afterwards so he can go home again. Was it that much to ask for?
'Come on, wait! Hey!'
Someone grabbed his arm. Tyler stopped and turned around. It was Maya.
'What do you want?'
Maya was one of the people Lucas and Tyler spent their breaks with.
It was a small group of people that started to gather around the two boys in the past few years.
Slightly shocked by the rough sound of Tyler's voice Maya let go of his arm.
'I-I just wanted to ask you where you're going. Surely our friends are already waiting. We normally meet every break, remember?'
Actually Maya and the others were Lucas friends, not his. Because everyone loved Lucas. And they accepted Tyler, but he was never a real part of their group. Or at least it never felt like it. He never felt really close to any of them.
'Well, go and meet your friends then. I prefer being alone.'
'But why don't you wanna come with us? I'm sure it would be good for you to have some company. Lucas would've wanted...'
'Don't you tell me what Lucas would have wanted!', Tyler cut her off.
Maya flinched.
'Tyler...'
But Tyler wasn't listening.
'No! I can't sit there with you as if everything is alright. Because it's not! Maybe you can do it, laughing and talking like you always do. But I can't. Not when Lucas is gone and you all are acting as if everything is like it used to be. Nothing is like it used to be anymore."
Tyler didn't noticed that he overacted. He was just full of anger and frustration. It was all too much for him. And he wasn't able to control himself, not yet.
'That's not true Tyler, and you know it! Of course nothing is like it used to be. Lucas is dead and that's horrible! And we all miss him so much. You might not think that, but we do! Just because we still meet up doesn't mean we forgot about him or that he wasn't important to us. In contrary! Because he was. And he'll always be. But life has to go on Tyler. Please, I just mean well.'
Maya sighed.
'Listen, I know you two were pretty close to each other. You knew him longer than any of us. And I know how you feel. But what you just said about us isn't fair.'
'Leave me alone!', Tyler shouted. 'You know nothing!'
'He was my friend too. Our friend. You're not the only one who lost him.'
'Not the only one, huh? Not the only one! But he was my only friend, understand? The only one I ever had. My best friend! For nine years! Nine damn years.
You haven't spent nearly every day with him since you were eight years old. He never visited you as you broke your leg because you fell from a tree while climbing or tried to comfort you because your parents were fighting again.
He was always there. And now he's gone and I'm alone! I'm alone...'
His last words were just a whisper. Tyler felt how tears started streaming down his face. He couldn't tell if it was because of anger or grief or both. All he knew was that he had to leave. Leave this horrible school.
So he wiped of his tears, turned around and ran.
Away from the school building, past hundreds of students. No one stopped him. Maya stayed behind. Speechless.
~~~
'Lucas?'
'Yeah?'
'We'll always be friends, won't we?'
'Of course!'
'No matter what's gonna happen?'
'No matter what's gonna happen.'
'Even when we're adults?'
'Even when we're old and grey. You and I. Till the end.'
'Promise?'
'Promise!'
~~~
The last time Tyler visited Lucas and his spot was on the day Lucas died. He never dared to visit it afterwards. Until now.
After he ran away from school he got back to this place. He and Lucas used to be there a lot.
Tyler didn't knew where else to go. He couldn't go back to school. Or home.
This was the only place he could be alone. No one would notice his breakdown. Or hear his screams.
'You promised! You hear me? Promised! You said... you said you and I... we... you said...'
Tyler thought they had a lot of time left. Their whole lives. After all they would always be friends. They would always be there for each other. No matter what. That's what they promised each other.
But fate didn’t seem to care about little boys’ promises.
'Why? Why you of all peolpe?'
Tyler sat down on the floor, his back against a large rock.
Slowly his anger turned back into the familiar feeling of grief and despair.
Suddenly he just felt... exhausted. So he closed his eyes for a while.
As he was sitting there, eyes closed, he had the sudden feeling that he wasn't alone.
But that was impossible. No one ever came here. Still, it felt like someone... or something was with him.
So he opened his eyes and what he saw shocked him. There was indeed someone. Right in front of him. And he watched him with concern.
Tyler recognized his face immediately. This face - He would know it in death.
But... that wasn't possible.
'Lucas?'
prooooooompt? High school Ohmcat where Ohm reads in the stands and a practice throw goes /wildly/ off course and hits him? Thrown by the one and only Tyler Wine?
Honestly, I’m loving all the OhmCat prompts you guys are sending me, I like to think I’m slowly breathing life into this rarepair XD
Also, there is a bit at the end where there’s a bit of bullying and stuff so if you’re sensitive to that kinda thing you have been warned
.
[Ohm POV]
He was sat high up in the stands in his usual spot, taking his time to bask in the sun as he read through his newest book, to kill a Mockingbird, glad for the almost non-existent breeze which meant that he wouldn’t have to struggle to keep the pages fixed.
He heard the familiar screams and shouts from the football teams ‘super fans’ nearer the bottom of the stands, eager to watch the team practice before their first home game this weekend, well more so to drool at the players, and if every now and then he cast his gaze upwards to appreciate the view of a particular player all hot and sweaty, no one was there to see it.
It was easy to drown out the noises around him as he focused on his book, easily blocking out the shrieks of the group of girls when their favorite scored and the shouts from the players themselves as they maneuvered about the pitch in lieu of a game.
He was so good at blocking out his environment in fact that he didn’t hear the shouts of ‘Watch out’ aimed towards him, only feeling what felt like a brick smash into the left side of his face, sure that he can hear a crack, before he’s met with the feeling of blinding pain, thankful that he’d forgotten his glasses that day which probably would have resulted with glass in his eye.
He struggles to open his left eye fully, his vision covered with black spots as he brings his hands up to examine his face, wincing in pain at the slightest touch and noting how they came away covered in blood.
Before he could think to do anything he found himself being gently pulled, turning to see one of the players examining the side of his face before taking his jersey off to use as a way of stopping the blood coming out of his nose.
“Shit I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to throw it that hard I swear. Shit”
Without another word he felt himself being lifted and gently led towards the center aisle before he was met with the man who’d come to help him, looming over him with a concerned look on his face.
“Hey, keep your head down okay, otherwise the blood’s gonna go down your throat” He then felt gentle hands coax his head down until he was now staring at the feet of the tall player. “Is it alright if I carry you down the stairs? I just think it’ll be quicker, and you can get to the nurse sooner”
“Uh yeah sure thanks”
He felt a warm arm loop around his waist, and he was quick to brace his free hand on the shoulder next to him before he gently felt himself being lifted, the player carefully making his way down the stairs which probably would have been a greater hazard had it been him.
“Not that you care or probably want to know but, m’names Tyler”
Ignoring the command from earlier he looked up for a moment, his breath catching in his throat at the fact that he was being carried by Tyler Wine, not only the best damn football player and straight-A student in their school but also who he’d been somewhat fixated on since he first started High School.
He’d been quick to shoot down any chances he had with him, Tyler having had both boys and girls fawning over him every other day. He’d had the pick of the litter and refused them all so why would he go for the runt.
“Well I hope for your sake your aim is better on Saturday”
He didn’t expect to hear the chuckle from Tyler but despite his circumstances, it gave him a warm feeling all the same, glad that he’d achieved the somewhat impossible task of making the boy laugh, well he’d certainly have a story to tell his friends tomorrow.
“I am really sorry about that, it was never my intention to hit you”
“So, you were aiming for me?” The silence from the other boy spoke volumes, accompanied by the slight blush dusting his cheeks and he had the answer to his question, unsure whether he should feel happy or not.
Luckily they arrived at the bottom of the stairs where he expected to be placed back onto the grass to make his slow journey to the nurses’ office whilst Tyler went back to training, what he didn’t expect was for the boy carrying him to break into a run, the hold he had around the taller boy’s neck getting tighter.
In the background he can faintly hear the shouts of the rest of the team, some of them whistling at them whilst one shouted ‘Go take care of your man Tyler’ and he felt his own cheeks go red at the picture they must make.
He noticed Tylers’ cheeks had gone even redder and how they’d slowed to a walk about halfway across the pitch, a group of players not too far in front of them and he tried to ignore the shiver when he felt Tyler whisper in his ear.
“Do me a favor and flip them off for me”
Without question, he raised his hand and flipped off the group of players, the group of them and Tyler bursting into laughter before the taller boy went back into a run, apparently eager to get him to the nurse, and he couldn’t hide the small smile on his own face.
“My name’s Ryan by the way, not that you care, I’m sure you get people coming up to you all the time”
“Who said I didn’t care?” He looked up somewhat puzzled at the other boy, trying to decipher the hidden meaning under those words.
“Well, I guess it’s not every day you hit someone in the face with a football” He chuckled a little at his own joke which was cut short when he noticed the wry look on the others face, showing that the whole situation still irked him. “For the record, I forgive you, as long as you let me take a selfie with you to show my friends tomorrow”
This time Tyler did chuckle somewhat, and the noise brought another smile to his face, glad he could elicit this reaction from him. “Yeah, I didn’t exactly want it to go down like that“
“Wanted what to go down like that?” Once again he saw the blush on the others face and he couldn’t help but feel like he was missing some sort of important information.
Before he could ask any further they found themselves in front of the Nurses’ office where Tyler promptly banged the door with his foot and upon its opening quickly carried him inside to sit him on the bed.
He was surprised to see Tyler stay in the room with him despite the nurse telling him he could leave, the boy instead telling him funny stories and anecdotes from some of his friends on the pitch whilst he let the nurse tend to his wounds, wincing in pain more often than not.
He found out that most of the left side of his face had swollen up and his cheek and eye would probably be bruised tomorrow, as well as having a small cut on his cheek which was easily tended to, and worst of all a broken nose.
After he’d cleaned all the dried blood off of him he was given a couple of Ibuprofen for the pain and an ice pack for his nose for the next 20 minutes, with strict instructions that for the next few weeks this would be his life, sitting upright and putting his nose on the verge of what felt like frostbite.
He was laying down on the bed, looking up the ceiling when he heard the door to the office shut, ignoring the slight wrench in his heart at the fact that Tyler had left without saying goodbye, until he felt the bed shift, looking down to see Tyler looking at him, concern on his face.
“I’m so sorry for doing this to you, you were just-“
“Hey, Tyler, it’s okay, mistakes happen, this isn’t your fault”
“But it is if only I had the balls to go up and ask you myself instead of listening to Nogla-“
“Ask me what?”
He waited patiently, his heart doing double time as he waited to hear what the taller boy had to say. Tyler simply sighed, raking his hands through his hair and then down his face before looking at him, steeling himself for what he was about to say.
“I don’t know if you know this Ryan, but I like you. As in I want to hold your hand all the damn time and make you laugh and fix your glasses which always seem to be crooked, like you. I’ve been driving the team nuts going on about you and how you’re always there to watch us…” Tyler looked up briefly at him, casting a small appreciative smile at him which he was happy to reciprocate before carrying on “But I was a fucking pussy ass bitch and didn’t have the balls to go up and ask you out so I listened to Nogla, out of all people it had to be him, and I tried to throw a ball near you to try and get your attention and, well… you know how that went”
He noticed the boy hunch up as if defeated, as if all hope had truly left him at what he’d done and he couldn’t help but feel sympathetic towards him even as his mind was screaming at him that his crush liked him back, that the person he’d looked up to for what felt like forever felt just as he did.
“Don’t you want to ask me something then?” He had a wide smile on his face as he was met with the look of surprise from the other boy who quickly tried to compose himself but even still he could see the look of hope in his eyes. “You’re not going to make me do all the work are you?”
He had a mischievous grin on his face as he watched a slow smile form on Tyler’s face, watched the boy reposition himself on the bed until he was facing him. “Ryan” He could feel the nerves pouring off of the taller boy and he couldn’t help the warm feeling grow in his chest as he was endeared by the sight “Would you maybe wanna go out with me sometime?”
He decided not to torture the other boy much further, quickly giving him an answer of yes but only when his face no longer looked like a beach ball, which earned a small appreciative chuckle from the football player.
**********
It’s a few weeks later and he and Tyler have been on a number of dates together, happy to take things slow for the meantime as they simply enjoy their time with the other.
He doesn’t know how, but word quickly spreads around the school about his relationship with Tyler and he’s quickly met with hostility from his peers, mostly from people jealous of him, but there was the occasional person who would throw a hurtful slur his way, intent instead to ignore it and head towards his next class as quick as he could.
It’s one day between classes when he’s cornered by a group of girls, each of them quizzing him on his attributes that would make Tyler choose him and not any of them, for which he had no answer for. He quickly became overwhelmed but still, they crowded closer, unable to push past them until he felt a hand on his jacket pulling him away.
For a moment he felt relief, relief that one of his friends had come and saved him from the mass of people, but instead, he was shoved harshly against a set of lockers, wincing at how he hit the back of his head against them.
Other people were quick to join him, throwing him around between them with the occasional jab that caused him to fall to the floor out of breath, his peers having formed a circle around him, cheering them on.
Just as he’s about to be heaved up off the floor, only to be shoved away, someone else intercepts, grabbing the guy by the jacket and shoving him up against the lockers before throwing a punch at him and he can see blood fly out of his mouth.
He briefly noticed that the other guys who’d been throwing him around were also incapacitated, but he couldn’t tell by who could only see the red jerseys they wore signifying they were part of the football team.
Before he could make a move he felt gentle hands lifting him up and was met with Tylers’ concerned eyes before the taller boy was checking him for injuries, making sure he was okay.
“You okay Ry? I should’ve gotten here sooner, shit” The other boy was cupping his face gently with his hands, rubbing his thumbs along his cheeks in an effort to comfort him and let him know he was safe.
He grabbed hold of one of Tylers’ wrists letting himself lean into the touch before turning his head slightly to place a gentle kiss to it, ignoring the eyes of his peers around him. Tyler was quick to bring him into a hug, where he easily buried himself into the chest of the taller man who only placed a kiss to the top of his head before addressing their peers, his arms still wrapped tight around him.
“You lot should be fucking disgusted with yourselves. You like to think you’re all high and mighty, but the truth is none of you ain’t worth shit, no wait how rude of me, literal shit is better than you. If any of you even think about going after someone I care about again you can bet I’ll ruin the rest of your miserable lives here at this school”
With that Tyler gently pulled away from him, still keeping an arm around him as he began to lead them through the crowds of people and out of the school, telling him they were taking the day off before driving him to the nearest diner for burgers and ice cream.
From then on people paid little interest in him, letting him go about his daily business as if the events of that day had never happened, although part of it was due to the way Tyler was quick to stare anyone down who looked his way too long.
Even now he still sat in the stands to read if the weather was nice, waiting for Tyler to finish training before they went out to the movies or the beach if they were lucky enough, although luckily for him footballs never went flying his way again.
High School Reunion
Word Count: 1,826
Player: Tyler Seguin
Warning: Cussing
Requested: No
Authors note: I had this super random idea pop into my head last night when I was scrolling through facebook (idk why I would ever do that, I was bored I guess) and I saw a bunch of girls I graduated high school with who have gotten married and have kids, and I never want to go to my reunion it doesn’t interest me, but the only way I would go is if this was my situation lol. Hope you all enjoy this silly little blurb I wrote at 5am xD
"Tyler I don't want to go." I groaned and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Babe come on, it's just for a few hours!"
I sighed and stared up at the ceiling. "I don't think you really understand Ty. You have always been a hot shot hockey player, and I'm sure all the girls wanted you back in school. I was not someone that anyone paid attention to. I wore oversized sweatshirts and sweatpants to school almost everyday. I didn't care to attract any guys because none of them from here are my type anyways, but even the 'friends' that I had in school were fucking liars. There was only one, MAYBE two that were actually my friends-"
"Hey," Tyler gently put his hands on either side of my face and pulled my head down so I was looking at him. "Babe you are better than all of those people. Go in there and show them that!"
I sighed and looked into his eyes, smiling a bit. "I mean I did somehow end up with the hottest NHL player..." I laughed and he just shook his head, smiling back at me.
"That's not what I mean babe and you know it. You own your own business back home, and you kick ass at it! Plus you look hot as fuck, and from what I remember you telling me about some of those girls.. I want you to prove them wrong."
I looked down and nodded. Most of the girls had actually been nice to my face in high school, but there were some fat jokes made in my direction at some point when I was younger. I had hoped that I was going to be able to get away with not going to my stupid 10 year reunion, living so far away that would of been easy to pass off. However it just happened to be that the Dallas Stars were playing against the Boston Bruins last night, and had three days off before their next home game. That meant Tyler and I drove three hours to my home town after the game last night, which they won of course.
"Alright alright fine. But only because you are going to be there."
"By your side all night I promise," Tyler smiled and pressed a kiss to my lips before pulling me to my feet off the bed and walking out to the rental car.
Wow I hadn't been here in 10 years. Looked the exact same though. Once I graduated this hell hole I never looked back, but here I was, walking into the back entrance headed into the gym. I looked around, seeing a number of people I recognized, but was trying to ignore.
"Oh shit babe. Go inside I'll be right back I left my wallet in the car."
"What? No I'll just go with you."
"Baby I'll be two seconds. I'll find you I promise," he smiled and gave me a quick kiss before running back towards the car.
My safety blanket was now gone, and I wasn't sure what to do. I sighed and walked into the doors, not really sure why I was actually here. The only person I was looking forward to seeing was an old coworker of mine and good friend, however the only reason she was even going to be here was because her husband graduated with me. Other than her there were only two other people I use to be friends with back in high school, but honestly we never talked anymore.
I lied. I knew the real reason why I came to this stupid thing, besides Tyler basically dragging me here. I was a very successful business owner back in Dallas and I was proud of that. I also happened to have the most handsome and talented husband here, except right now he was at the car and now I was standing here signing my name on a piece of paper for a dumb name tag.
"Thanks," I smiled to the lady on the other side of the table and stuck the name tag onto my dress.
I walked into the gym, looking around and seeing a lot of people that I recognized. I sighed softly seeing a few eyes lingering on me for a bit longer than I liked.
"I'm surprised shes here, I heard she moved to Dallas."
Oh yeah here it goes.
"She looks way different than back in high school."
"Yeah at least she's not wearing that stupid oversize sweatshirt and sweatpants like she always use to."
I didn't even want to know who it was talking about me, nor did I really care, or at least I was trying to not care. I just really wished Tyler would hurry up.
I made my way over to a table and sat down, looking around for my friend. She had texted me earlier and said they were here but I had yet to find her. I pulled my phone out and sent her a quick text to let her know where I was.
"Aw she's alone," a girls voice said.
"Are you surprised? She never dated anyone in high school, and she always hung out with the weird kids"
I rolled my eyes and kept pretending to text.
"Whoa who is that?"
"Is that Tyler Seguin?"
"Wasn't he on the Bruins a while ago?"
"Yeah what the fuck is he doing here?"
I smiled and looked up, watching him scan the room for me. Now was my chance to confuse the fuck out everyone and I was going to love this.
"Ty!" I called out, smiling as his head looked in my direction.
"Hey babe," He smiled and walked over to where I was sitting, grabbing a seat next to me.
"No. fucking. way,” one of the male voices, that had been mixed in with the rest of the whispered confusion about Tyler, said.
I smiled and leaned forward, pressing my lips to his and the interlocking our fingers together.
"Find your wallet?" I smiled at him.
"Yes," he laughed. "Where's Em?"
"Not sure yet, I texted her to let her know I'm here."
"Oh okay. Do you want me to go grab you something to drink?"
"That would be great," I smiled and let go of his hand as he got up and made his way over to the drink table.
"Brooke?"
I looked up to the voice that vaguely sounded familiar. "Hey Cassy," I smiled. She had actually been one of the nicer ones in school, though we never hung out outside of class or anything she had never been mean to me at least.
"Is that your husband?" She asked pointing to Tyler.
I smiled and nodded. "Yeah."
"Damn girl!" She laughed and turned to introduce me to her boyfriend of three years.
"I heard you moved to California?" I asked her.
"Yeah I did some modeling after high school and then just kind of drifted around until I found this one. What about you?"
"Down in Dallas now. Opened my own business down there, met him at an event I was attending. We had mutual friends and crossed paths a few times. I knew who he was way before he knew who I was though," I laughed.
"Oh?"
"Yeah. I love hockey and he plays in the NHL. Used to be on the Bruins but now he’s the star down in Dallas," I smiled as he made his way back over to the table.
"Jesus," Cassy said softly, but I for sure heard her.
"Here you go babe," Tyler smiled and set a glass in front of me.
"Ty, this is Cassy and Blake. She was in a few of my classes in high school. She was one of the nice ones," I laughed.
"Nice to meet you," Tyler smiled and shook both of their hands.
"Brooke!"
I would know that voice anywhere.
"Em!" I smiled and stood up, giving her a big hug.
"Missed you bitch!"
I laughed and shook my head. "Missed you too slut."
"You would never know they were so close," Tyler laughed, Em's husband laughing and agreeing with Tyler.
The night had gone on for a few hours, no more whispered comments were heard for the rest of the night, even a few of the people had come up to Tyler and asked for a picture. He would look at me each time, silently asking if they were nice to me in school. Most of them were okay, but a few of them I didn't like so he would tell them no, which made me smile and them mad.
"Thanks for forcing me to go," I smiled as we walked out of the school hand in hand.
Tyler laughed. "You didn't look like you were forced once you got comfortable, which I knew you would. You had some friends there still."
"Yeah just ones that I'll talk with at high school reunions that's all."
"That's okay babe," he smiled and pressed a kiss to my temple.
"You were a big shot in there though. Did you think it was going to turn into a mini media tour for you?"
"Well I did play in Boston a number of years ago, I assumed someone might recognize me. Not as many as that but hey I was glad that I got to go with you. Seeing the looks on their faces-"
"When they saw I was with you? Yeah I know," I laughed.
"No babe, it had nothing to do with me."
"Oh Ty... that's where you are wrong. All of those people probably assumed I would end up alone or something, not with someone as handsome and as talented as you. But you know what? I feel more lucky that I got to show off you. Sure I feel comfortable in my skin now, but to prove all of those snotty girls wrong and have a hotter husband than them? That was awesome," I smiled.
Tyler laughed and opened my car door for me. "Well I'm happy to of helped. But I'm the one who won having the hottest partner, and don't even think about denying it," He smiled and shut my car door.
I smiled to myself and looked down to my wedding band, twisting it around a bit. I sure was lucky to be with Tyler, and as much fun as it was to rub in the popular girls faces that I ended up with an NHL player, I honestly couldn't care less where we lived, or what he did for work. He loved me and I loved him and that was all that mattered.
Tyler got in and leaned over, pressing a kiss to the corner of my mouth and smiled. "Let's go home," he said starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot.
"Good idea," I whispered as I watched the school disappear in the rear view mirror.
Tumblr media
Before we get to the replies, I want to quickly address something. I’m sorry for not really being sorry about not being around. You guys might have noticed I haven’t posted anything on twitter in the past few days and also, everything since Monday or something has been queued and I haven’t visited any blogs. It’s all because I had a meltdown, let’s say, uninstalled tumblr and twitter from my phone and I actually decided to stop using twitter completely (whether it’s just for a few days or forever is a good question - I might be back next week, next month, next year, maybe never, who knows). As for tumblr, I usually catch up on everyone from the phone because when I’m on my computer, most of the time I just don’t feel like doing it, I have other things to do. But don’t worry, I’ll get there. There are some stories I need to continue reading.
Why I’m not sorry about all of this - simply because it’s been great. I feel like social media are like a drug - you’re addicted to them, you enjoy them, but they’re also toxic as hell and even if you think you have it under control, you don’t. I mean, maybe you do (good for you, my friend), but I didn’t. Also I have to focus on school. I have more exams on Thursday and Friday. So yeah.
TL;DR: I uninstalled some apps and haven’t been around too much and I’m not sorry about it.
In other news, how did Taylor Swift know exactly what song I would need these days?! We stan and I’m not even using that word ironically this time.
I haven't been keeping up with the countdown, but I am excited to see what Taylor is going to do!
The song dropped at 6 am in my timezone, which is the time I wake up, so on Friday, I decided to set my alarm clock on 5.50 am because I was so excited, I didn’t want to miss it. And she surely didn’t disappoint. Actually, I’ve noticed one thing - every time she drops a new song, the first time I listen to it, I’m like hmmm, okay, not bad. And then I listen to it more and more and suddenly I’m obsessed. Which is exactly what happened this time :D
could have had a much worse outfit haha
True, but I’m not sure if this is the right outfit for her career haha
Thank you guys!
But the question is - where is Tyler?XD
I say that in the post lol. Anyway, let’s talk more about why I didn’t include him. Let’s talk about double heir generations. In my opinion, unless you decide to continue with children of both heirs, you still have only one heir. You just pay more attention to their sibling than you would to a regular spare. And yes, in gen 4, I said both Caleb and Tyler were the heirs, but I only continued the legacy with Caleb’s daughter.
So yeah, I basically just took Tyler’s heir rights away :D But it doesn’t matter, he’s still an icon of this blog.
It happens as you write more and learn. I get super embarrassed by my old stuff now but other people like it just fine.
I know, I guess it’s natural. But it’s still interesting to me in this case :D
dandylion240 replied to your post “Did I mess something up or did tumblr mess up? Usually I don’t pay...”
Sorry to hear that but I don't think you said anything. Hopefully it's just a Tumblr thing
Yeah, I feel like...usually I do worse things. I wonder if so many people were mad that I was reblogging my old posts. That’s the only theory I can come up with for this. But I mean, come on, I tagged it all, if they didn’t want to see it, they could’ve just blocked the tag and move on. That’s what I do with posts I don’t want to see, that’s what everyone does, right?
It’s not really that big of a deal, usually I don’t care when the follower count goes down, but this time, it was a lot more than I’m used to and I’m just a little confused.
Tyler loved doing outdoorsy things. He had his own cottage but he also liked going camping with his friends at least once every summer. This was the first time that you were going to be joining them and you were rather nervous. This wasn't your kind of thing. You hadn't gone camping since you were, maybe, 13 years old and had sworn that you would never subject yourself to such torture ever again. However, how could you say no to your boyfriend? Whenever he pouted, you practically melted on the spot and gave into whatever he wanted. So, here you were, in the middle of nowhere with Tyler and his friends. They'd spent a couple hours setting up the campsite and you had awkwardly tried to help but it was rather hopeless. You were kind of worried that he would feel differently about you because you were not good at any of this. You could gladly sit in his boat and fish with him or spend a couple days in a row at his cottage but this was a completely different experience. He didn't see annoyed with you, thankfully, and even mentioned how adorable you were multiple times as you both put up the tent together.
He might have been the one to, ultimately, do all the work but he kissed you and thanked you for trying. That was all he really wanted, he said. He loved seeing that, no matter how unlike you this was, you were doing your best. In a way, this kind of was a huge test for your relationship. It was still rather new and since he'd been so busy during the year, you guys never had the chance to properly get to know each other like this. Things, though, were going amazingly. You were all sitting around the fireplace, talking and drinking beer as people usually did on nights like these. You'd started in your own chair but at some point during the night, Tyler had you sit in his lap and spent his time kissing your neck and cuddling you as the conversation flowed easily. As much as you wanted to be good and actually pay attention to his friends, he was making it absolutely impossible for you to do so. Your eyes were shut and you were gripping his sweater, trying not to moan in front of everyone. He was doing that thing that drove you crazy, sucking and nibbling on the curve of your neck. He knew that it was hard for you to stay quiet. You were subtly squirming in his lap, trying not to full out make out with him here and he knew that.
"Let's go to our tent." He whispered in your ear and you looked at him in shock. God, you desperately wanted that. "Your friends won't be mad?" You replied quietly. "It's still early..." It was, probably, around 9pm so it felt ridiculous to just get up and leave the party now. Instead of answering you, he got you both up and wrapped his arm around you. "We're going to head to bed. It's been a long day." He claimed and started walking away from the campfire and towards your tent. There were laughs from his friends, clearly not believing his words. They knew exactly what was going on. Who would seriously believe them, though? You were not going to live this down tomorrow morning but you know what? You didn't care right now. You were dying to be alone with your boyfriend. As much as you liked his friends, it was a long day of holding back the PDA. And when you had a boyfriend who looked like Tyler Seguin, how could you possibly not want to be all over him all the damn time?
Tyler unzipped the tent and you crawled in first. He'd been teasing you before and so, you wanted to give him a little show too. He could check your ass out and have to behave until the zipped the door back up. However, he did it much faster than you thought he would. "Come here." You barely had time to get settled on your back when he grabbed you by the ankle and pulled you back down closer to him. That, naturally, made you scream and burst out laughing. Your heart was racing so fast and the moment he started kissing you, there was nothing holding you back anymore. "I want you so bad. I've been waiting all day." You panted against his lips. No one could see you, you didn't have to behave anymore. You were alone with your boyfriend and he was already trying to get you out of your clothes. You'd been wearing sweats around the fire so before you knew it, Tyler had pulled them off your legs. Everything seemed frantic but it was necessary. You were both so turned on. As you kissed him, you peeled his hoodie off. Getting undressed was never as easy and simple as they made it seem in movies but you did it as quickly as you could. The clothes needed to come off. Now.
Your full naked bodies were pressed against each other and your kisses were hot and desperate. Your hands were all over his muscled body, feeling him up eagerly. In the moment, you weren't thinking about anyone else. Tyler flipped you both over and suddenly, you were on top of him. He always loved this position because he loved watching you rock yourself on top of him, drowning in pleasure. You knew that's what he wanted now and slowly sat up on top of him. "Is this what you want?" You asked, reaching between the two of you and started stroking his dick. He was already half hard but he twitched so easily in your palm. Tyler's arousal grew so fast, groaning as he looked up at you with such lust in his eyes. "Yes." He said, gripping onto your thighs. "Please-" He begged, his hips squirming under you. You loved driving him crazy, you especially loved that it never took you long to get him going like this. He didn't have to beg you twice, though, because you were just as desperate for him.
Slowly, you held onto his arousal so that you can sink onto it. Your eyes rolled back at the feeling, the both of you moaning together. Your whole body felt electrified, you'd been aching for him all day. Every time he carried logs around or did anything to make his muscled arms flex, you were practically drooling at the sight. You were horny as hell and it was so difficult to keep your hands to yourself. You didn't have to do that now, though. Your hands were directly on his chest, holding yourself up as you rode yourself faster on him. His fingers were digging into your thighs, then moved to squeeze your breasts. He was all over the place but that was okay, so were you. It felt like you had to do everything quickly because you couldn't get enough of him. You just wanted more and more, you were dying for your orgasm. Your moans and groans were just as loud as his and you didn't care. At least, not until you heard some people laughing around the campfire. In half a daze, you realized what that meant. “Do you think they can hear us through the tent?” You asked him, breathlessly. Tyler reached for the back of your neck and pulled your face closer. "I don't care." He said hotly before kissing you hard.
If he didn't care, why should you? He was right. It wasn't like the people out there didn't exactly know why you were heading to the tent so early. You rocked yourself more on top of him, kissing him eagerly but this wasn't enough for you two and Tyler knew that. He quickly flipped you over, pressing your back on the sleeping bag. He always got so riled up when he got on top of you, thrusting with determination as he pinned your hands to the ground. His thrusts hit you in the right spot, your pleasure growing fast. His lips were against yours but neither of you were kissing each other, you were panting hard as your body started to shake. "Let go, baby." He told you, the sound of your skin slapping filling the tent. His hand moved between your bodies and started rubbing your clit to get you there. "Fuck!" You cried, your body squirming in pleasure underneath him. Your toes curled and you grabbed his biceps as your orgasm washed through you. Your vision went white, your pleasure took over every part of you and doubled when you felt him cum moments after you. He always did that, waited for you to let go before he did himself. One day, you wanted to thank him for that by making it all about him but for now, all you could do was lay there and kiss him breathlessly. "I suddenly love camping." You managed to say, your lungs burning. Tyler chuckled and nudged your nose with his.
For a little while, Tyler kissed your slowly. He didn't move away from you, only moving so he could pull out. Apart from that, you were both wrapped around each other. You loved this, you needed this tender moment. You didn't want to go back outside when you could be laying naked, making out with the most handsome man alive. Thankfully, Tyler seemed to feel the same way. He didn't suggest you go back out, you could stay here until morning. Then, you could repeat this camping experiment all over again tomorrow.
OLLIN “OLLIE” BRENTWOOD who strongly resembles TYLER POSEY, has been spotted in Pandæmonium. They are a TWENTY-SIX year old AZTEC DEMIGOD - SON OF XOCHIPILLI, and have been in Pandæmonium for EIGHT YEARS. I hear they’re EXHILARATING & FREE-SPIRITED and OVERWHELMING & HEDONISTIC. If you’re lucky you may catch them working at CLUB 390 as a BARTENDER & DANCER.
Hey, everyone~ I’m Euriel, and I’m super excited to rp with you all! c: I want to introduce you all to my demigod son, Ollie. (Heads up that it’s really, really, REALLY long since I went into his parents’ backstory, too. This might as well be his “About Me” post. :x)
Okay, first off, Ollie’s dad is the Aztec god, Xochipilli. Depending on who you ask, this god might seem fairly tame at first, being the “god of art, games, beauty, dance, flowers, and song.” Pretty innocent, right? But this god is also known as the “god of gay prostitutes and hallucinogens.” Those “games” and “flowers” are not what you originally thought of lol.
AND, Ollie’s his son, so have fun with that. :D
Ollie’s mom, on the other hand, is a pretty chill lady. Ms. Leesa Brentwood is a British archaeologist specializing in pre-colonial Mexico AKA the Aztecs. Years before Ollie was born, she got just enough grant funding to make her dreams come true --- do an expedition out in Mexico.
Of course, Ms. Brentwood wasn’t an expert at reading classical Nahuatl, so she had tried to use part of her funding to hire an overly enthusiastic Aztec historian and translator, Mr. Ichtacka. The historian said he’d do the work for free though... Well, in any case, less money spent now was research funding for later, so she didn’t think of it. Over the first year, the two of them got along really well and started a relationship.
After a couple years of minor discoveries here and there, their expedition team made a huge breakthrough and uncovered a pristine preserved temple dedicated to the Aztec god, Xochipilli, right in the middle of Mexico City. One of the first of its kind. Mr. Ichtacka (in reality being Xochipilli himself) thought the site of this discovery was the perfect place to propose, so he did. And Ms. Brentwood happily accepted.
The next few months after that were hectic, being filled with live interviews, attending conferences, and publishing papers about the discovery. But as soon as things died down, the couple decided to have a small private wedding with just their expedition team as guests at the site of the temple.
About nine months later, Ollie was born. Up until his early adolescence, he had a pretty normal childhood. However, things got weird in his teenage years. It wasn’t bad at first. People who gathered around him always seemed really happy, and he always seemed to catch the attention of guys in particular. Ollie just thought he was really good at making friends... until he realized he wasn’t.
Even people he hated had a good time around him, and he didn’t want that at all. It’s like he gave his bullies even more pleasure for beating him up. Whenever he attended funerals, people couldn’t seem to mourn even though he himself felt sad. People never really seemed to take being around him seriously, and he hated it.
This went on for a couple years, and Ollie couldn’t understand why people could be so happy all the time when he was starting to get more unhappy. Maybe this is what people call teenage angst, he thought. ...Until his dad told him that it wasn’t.
One night, Mr. Ichtacka sat Ollie down to talk to him. Ollie thought his dad might scold him for his grades or finally give him the talk about the birds and the bees. But what his dad told actually told him that night he couldn’t believe. In fact, he didn’t believe it at first. Ollie lashed out saying that he had grown out of his mom and dad’s Aztec fairy tales, but when his dad started to conjure flowers out of thin air, and Ollie felt himself calming down not of his own accord, he had no choice but to believe. He swear he also saw rainbows appear, and maybe he felt a little hungry.
It didn’t take Ollie long at all to gain control of his powers once we realized what they were and how they worked. He could make people go on a trip so high that they forgot why they were there. He could make even the most timid person sing and dance in front of a crowd. He could make people fall in love with him without even trying, but this tended to work better with guys than with girls --- and he found out that he didn’t even mind that. Now, he was also happy with making other people happy as well, and the last couple years of high school flew by.
College acceptance letters started to come in, and to Ollie’s surprise, he got accepted at NYU. It was a reach school due to his grades, and Ollie wondered if his powers worked over long distances as well. Although his parents were now well known in their field, sending Ollie to a school in America as an international student would be hard, even for them. He told his parents not to worry about it, and that he’d get a job to help pay for school expenses and live in an apartment instead of the dorms.
In reality, this meant that Ollie moved to PandĂŚmonium, lived at the 845 Apartment Complex, and worked evenings as a dancer and bartender at Club 390. He found his powers to be extremely useful in his job, and the amount of tips he could rake in one night would often be enough to cover his book expenses for that whole entire quarter. College was a breeze compared to high school now that he had control of his powers, and he liked the area enough to stay after graduation.
A typical day for Ollie nowadays could be volunteering at the hospital during the day, trying to make the children and terminally ill patients happy, while at night, he eases the souls of those looking for a break from real life.
Hi there! You made it to the end --- congratulations! xD Sorry it was so long; I just kinda needed to write everything out to flesh out Ollie in my head. Now after reading all that, if you want to plot, just like this post or message me.
